Many of you have been most helpful on my Snark issues. The one I cannot seem to get resolved is...boom installation and hardware issues. Aside from my presumption that he mainsail is help down on the boom with a single line, and that the boom is help down to the mast foort with another line...the following issues persist.
1. Is there any time of retainer that shuld be on the mast under which the boom fork pivots?
2. What purpose does the lone fairlead on the boom (aligned with the DB slot) serve?
3. Does/should this boat have a simple single line vang using said fairlead?
Any ideas are appriciated.
