My main halyard pulled through as I was raising the mast and I am looking for suggestions on how to rethread it. Since it is completely out I don't have the option of attaching it to the old halyard and pulling it through. Any suggestions for rethreading it through the mast will be appreciated

Ditto what Al said

This happened to me too. The home inprovement store sold the electrician's tool on a reel. Mast down, fish the tape through and then attach a "messenger line: and then use that to pull through the new halyard.

Thanks for your suggestions. I ended up taking the cap off the top of the mast and pushing the halyard down with a thin stick. Once I got to the spinnaker block, I was able to grab the line with a small wire prong I borrowed from the marina.
