I had
this happen a few weeks ago....First make sure the bottom and prop are clean as growth will cause a strain on the engine, thus causing too much unburned fuel...this time of the year around here (LI, NY), the growth can be pretty bad. It amazed me that what I thought was hardly any growth really put a strain on the engine and cause black soot.Run her hard for long periods......running at low rpm's builds up soot and garbage as is no good for the health of the motor. After I did these items, no problems at all....Run her hard, make her hot...SHE LOVES IT!! (that sounded bad)Then check the injectors, bad fuel etc.......Good Luck and let us knowGreg
