Hello All,I have been batteling a smoke problem on our 1981 27' hunter. It has a 1gm yanmar diesl. The smoke is dark and attaches to the back of the boat. I've tried all of the following:1. Pulled the injector, shop said it was clean.2. Pulled the mixing elbow and had it blasted clean.3. Changed the air filter and made sure the air intake was clear.4. Made sure the exhaust hose was unkinked and clear from engine to through/haul.After all this the only thing left (according to my best friends marine diesel engines book) is barnacle build up on the shaft. I'm due next week to have the boat pulled, cleaned, repainted, and re-zinked. The only thing ( that my friend made me aware of ) is that it is smoking in idle. That shoot the theory of the barnacale build up...Does anyone have a suggestion that is not listed above........ Its killing my gelcoat.......thanks, Jacques E . Picou
