Unbelievable to see. Smell not bad now, but going to be. There is just a carpet of fish, and some very bloated seals!

Here in Maine, i am told that in the old days, Pogies used to do this every year, now they have been over fished it very rarely happens, but the smell was terrible, i am told.

Fish make a fantastic fertilizer when dried and ground up. I hope that some enterprising group realizes that!

Right now they are trying to clean the whole thing up with hand nets, before total decay sets in. I think they just want it to go away quickly. Police having a good time, with flashing lights and yellow tape everywhere!

My garden would be sooo huge this summer. I would just bury a whole bunch of them. I have my wife and son catch a bunch of bluegills from our pond to bury when we start our garden every year.
