Very interested in finding a new/lightly used windlass/capstan for H25.
Prefer vertical, with rope gipsy & chain wheel, suitable for 1/2” 8-plait and 1/4” hi-test G43 chain. More preferable is a very-low-profile motor such as with right-angle drive under the foredeck or an above-deck mounting. Even better/best is a vertical capstan with NO dump tube (spills out onto deck and is manually directed to deck hawses, because that’s how the boat is now).
That said, how would a large-ish power sheet which be for a 5000-lb boat and up to 170-200 ft of rode? We’re not talking about a lot of load or a lot of peer requirement.
And it should/must have manual override (ability to be hand-winched when 12VDC is insufficient).
