In club races, my 1996 Hunter 23.5 consistently does poorly. Other racers frequently comment that the boat appears to be "crabbing" rather than sailing a straight track. The center board is down (at least the control line is fully extended) and the water ballast is full. Taletells suggest the sails are properly trimmed. Any suggestions?

Tuning

The B&R rig on these boats performs much better when properly tuned. Do you have the shrouds properly tensioned, correct mast rake, etc? When I tuned my 26, it was like getting a new set of sails. Ron Mehringer h26 Hydro-Therapy

Each year I sail in the Leukemia Cup Regatta. I come in last or second to. I do well at the start and everyone passes me, or I do bad at the start and don't stand a chance. What's a girl to do?
