Sloppy Rudder Stock - 37CC

Thanks for the heads up SailingCal21, still working on membership to the yahoo group but I'm swamped w/ all the epoxy pots...uggg...

I've concentrated my effort on water ingress to the space in the seem aft of the stock, crack about 1" away, I plan on epoxying that area fair w/ coloidal silica epoxy, others have said put a nice bead of 5200 in that area after all is said and done to help.

500 ml of epoxy later (guess I'm lucky) and we're back in business. I ground out the crack at the top and filled/faired, as well as injecting it throughout wherever there was a cavity. 3 coats of interlux 2000e on it, 2 coats of anti fouling.

We put the rudder back in yesterday and with proper greasing it went back in without any issues. The delrin shim got whittled down to about 1x3x1/32 inserted right at the base. No wobble at all now!
