I'm curious if anyone has used or is currently using a slingbox. It sounds like an obvious choice for a television signal. I would like to read your review.

Someone asked about this a couple of weeks ago
and the answers range from "what is it" to "sounds like a good idea" to " why would anyone want to?" There was another thread asking about TV on boats with the same range of responces. But I don't recall that anyone said that they had a slingbox.

works great on WiFi signal
Rich I was the one Ross mentioned who was asking a couple of weeks ago. My suggestion is to check out the reviews on Amazon.com ( where I found the best price) which convinced me to buy it. Although most of those comments come from folks who travel, the same logic applies. As long as you have a WiFi signal and want to watch Tv or recorded prgrams, it's a great toy and if you use TiVO or a DVR, it's nice to be able to watch recorded stuff too. I understand some perfer a different lifestyle when aboard which means no Tv but to us, the boat is a second home and we want all the conveniences as we have normally including wathcing weather, news and favorite programs.
