WOW! They don't want to take resposibility for anything, do they? How about posting this question to Charlie Gruetzner of Oceanis Marine Services at the Guest Expert Forum on this site? Since he is a professional with years of experience, it'd be interesting to see what he has to say. Still, I can't imagine any spot on the hull that'd be stronger than where the bulkheads are located. Also, I just came back from the Good Luck Point marina where the Merry Bee is docked (and hauled out every year!). I asked Roy, the owner for the past 30+ years, this question, and he said that they always locate the slings at the bulkheads to prevent "oil-canning".
