I have a 1996 H26 and I am in need of the location of the sling stickers. These are the stickers under the rub rail that indicate where to locate slings when lifting the boat. I believe they only indicate the proper area for the slings so that they miss catching on the centerboard. A measurement from the bow back to each sling location would be appreciated from any H26 owner. I am about to replace the stickers and would like to place them in the proper location. Thanks Bob Gravenstine s/v Gravyboat

Bob, I would also be interested in the...

location for sling placement. I would also like to know if a 95 H26 can be lifted by the u bolts located at the bow, chain plates(shroud) and the aft quarters. I might have to do some work on the centerboard and the u bolt lift would be the easiest for me, if possible?

Any good boat repair yard should be able to show you the proper locations for the slings. You should also be able to call Hunter and ask their technical guys where they should be located. There is a link to contact Hunter somewhere on the Hunter Owner's Home page. Good luck.

Hunter's response

Received this information from Greg Emerson at Hunter Marine Customer Service: "Measuring from the bow of the hull, the 1st SLING sticker should be at 7 feet and the 2nd one should be at 18-1/2 feet. Of course this is the same on both sides." Now I can go to the boat and install the sling stickers. Bob Gravenstine S/V Gravyboat
