So let me see if I have this straight:
you go ashore in a storm..... and the anchor drags.....you get a high tech text alerting you ...... you go back to the boat in a storm.... and fix it.
Not at all sure why you would leave the boat in a storm but...I suppose that a summer thunder storm could "sneak up on you" They are pretty sneaky those thunder storms.
I guess this could alert you if the tide turns (heaven knows we don't ever know when that is going to happen??) and the anchor drags.
I guess I'm having a lot of trouble understanding how this would be enormously helpful as I would not go ashore in a storm cause seeing the sights in a storm is not really fun. I'd want to get back to the boat if a thunderstorm popped up as I don't want to be in the dingy during a storm and I already know when the tide will turn and if anchoring in a tidal stream I use the right anchor.
I guess I am a victim of only dragging anchor twice. Once due to trash on a danforth fluke and once in a cove that had really bad bottom. We could not even get the anchor to set so we found a better place further on.
If you are a beer drinker then you are going to be getting up in the middle of the night anyway and it is blindingly easy to look out the window and check the range lights.
