Making a new slider
Making one yourself can be done. You'll need (2) 2x4's, some 3/16" lexan, and some black latex paint. Start by making (2) frames with the 2x4's slightly bigger than the slider. With the protective film still on the Lexan, paint it black. Then lay the painted lexan onto one frame, and then the other frame on top. Screw the two frames together. Block this assembly a few inches off the ground, preferably on some nice fresh black asphalt. At any Walmart sporting goods/camping section you can get a solar shower. Fill one of these with water and place it in the middle off the frame and out in the sun for several days. The sun will help the weight of the water form a nice bubble in the lexan. Once your bubble looks right, you need to tae things apart and then make it so you've only got 2x4's on 2 opposite sides. Prop this back up out in the sun with the waterbag on top for a few more days. This will put the curve in the lexan to form to the slightly rounded cabin top. Trim the lexan to size, and WALLA, new slider.
