has anyone put their sliding galley on tracks to make it easier to pull in and out for use and stowage under the cockpit area?
im not sure if I want to keep it or get rid of it... it takes up a lot of livable space, but then, it is a shelf that holds the stove, and having a sink is nice too..... but for my usage I see no need for a freshwater holding tank as I carry water in gallon jugs...
I have thought about adding tracks made from starboard material, to the underside of the cockpit seating and then building a long sliding shelf that would hang from the top rather than setting on the bench. it could hold the stove and the sink and have more counter space. then the bench area would be available for accessible storage.... with the length available, a person could build a fairly long sliding shelf and still have it stow completely out of the way. what have you done to free up space in the sliding galley area?
