We just bought a 2009 Hunter 33 and have it docked in Punta Gorda,FL. I’m considering use of Tide Slides or Slidemoor systems. My cleats do not align with the dock pilings as required with the Slidemoor system. In order to use this system I would need to put a sliding cleat on my outboard Genoa track. Wondering if the track is adequately secured through the deck to hold the boat tight to the slide? I might be able to install the Slidemoor system at a slight angle on the piling so it better aligns with the bow cleat and the slide cleat toward the aft.
Any thoughts on strength of the sail track?
Any experience with Hurricane Ian and these two docking systems?
