I am a big boy. If I get to feeling a little trodden on, I can always nurse on my X1R bottle. Lol.
Our culture is taught to accept tradition as truth. Even when we know it is a lie. We teach the lies to our children and push them to lie to their children. Example? We just spent billions on it. Santa Claus.
Does not stop at that lie, we have ground hog day, tooth fairy, boogie man, and about a thousand more we teach our children. In school, we teach kids to debate rather than find the truth. Our laws are blind justice in the courts system and on and on. When truth is found it is always ridiculed by the masses until later the truth is held to be self evident.
Is oil additives a waste of time and money? I would say in a debate it is for about 99% of the people, unless of course it is under the tree from Santa.
The single most important thing you can do for an internal combustion engine is change oil and filters like it was Moses commanding you do so. If you do that, you will operate that engine for many many years trouble free. This statement is correct in the vast majority of circumstances. If, however, you wish to supplement your Maintance procedures with better filters, or jazzed up oil, or oil additives, I would say the end result will be as good or better than had you stayed with factory recommendations. I personally feel one should get ultra premium filters, same with oil. Get the very best. Additives? I just spent ten extra bucks on a premium filter and twice that on premium oil, are you kidding. Nothing is too good for the family of mine that depends on reliable transportation. Hell yes, I will purchase a bottle of whatever the best oil additive available in the market place. Thirty years ago that was slick 50. Today it seems to be X1R. Tomorrow will again have something that is cutting edge technology. And again tomorrow, I will be there taking advantage of whatever is offered.
