Slap, Crackle, Pop

We clip off our halyard to the toe rail. We also made a yoke from Sunbrella with grommets that wraps around the aft area of the boom. We use it if the shackle starts chattering on the toe rail if the wind hits it just right.
The really annoying thing is when the boom starts squeaking at the goose neck at 2am.

I have had creaks and squeeks when at anchor and the boat rolls. Mostly in the aft cabin. I located them by feeling for vibration and sound source. I managed to trace all of them to wood trim rubbing on fiberglass. My solution was to remove the wood parts and sand them to provide clearance to the rubbing mate. No more sound!
