If you have done an ICW or Great Circle cruise you may have used Skipper Bob's publications or met him at a boat show.I was not aware of his recent passing on December 11 until I read about it in Silver Donald Cameron's latest column for the Halifax Herald. (Don is an icon of Maritime authors.) You might find Don's column of interest.Skipper Bob will be missed.

Silver Donald Cameron

Yes, Skipper Bob was a valuable source of cruising information and will be missed. I was remiss in mentioning his passing after reading Silver Donald's column in the Halifax Herald Nova Scotian (www.herald.ca) yesterday. Thank you for posting it Hugh. As an aside, Patti and I had Silver Donald and Marjorie Cameron for dinner a couple of weeks ago when they were in Tatamagouche NS to launch his new book "Sailing Away from Winter" chronicling their trip from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia down the ICW to the Bahamas. (A very good read by the way.)
