Do these rubber plugs keep the running rigging in the mast

Size of rubber plugs for bridle wires to raise the mast?
RETAINING PLUG FOR STANDING RIGGINGThis little rubber stopper plugs into the mast to hold your upper shrouds in place. The size references the depth of the plug which can be measured by placing it on a flat surface.
Well not having raised the mast yet I see that I need those rubber plugs to place in the mast so that the bridle wires don't fall out in the process...
There are 2 sizes... Now that I think about it I probably need both sizes for the other standing rigging and the "bridle wires."
The plugs are inexpensive and I just want to know what I may need.
Any information you may have would be an asset.
Sincerely,
