Size of chute

I have a 1970's(?) Oday daysailer ~ 17'. I am looking for info re spinnaker ie size and rigging. My Oday has a pulley on the fore side, masthead. I can't imaagine it supporting a masthead chute. Any help appreciated, even a picture with a chute( previous boats Bombardier 4.8 and San Juan 24).

Daysailer Rigging

I hope that over the past year you have figured out the rigging for a Daysailer spinnaker. I recently purchased a 70's vintage daysailer and am now at the same point you were.  The mast on my boat has the pulley you mentioned and I am also skeptical about its adequacy as a spinnaker halyard. The boat has a spinnaker halyard and pole downhaul (both very badly worn and in need of replacement)lead through a hole in the deck at the base of the mast and cleated to the centerboard trunk, but there isn't any provision for a spinnaker pole topping lift or afterguy. Perhaps the intention was to use the jib halyard as the lift and the lazy sheet as the afterguy. Any light you can shed on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
