I was looking at some photos last week of some of Bruce Kings larger custom designs and one of the things that struck me(and my wife) is larger boats have these nice household size toilets in them. So I did some research and found that Raritan makes a larger, oval shaped bowl for the PHII. I ordered one last week along with the matching seat. I would say that with this majestic upgrade, I can truly call my boat a "yacht" :) BTW, Raritan part number 1244W

Mmmmm

Sounds good Rich. I'll bring the Salsa. We will then retire to our respective "thrones"!

Off Topic.

I just wanted to compliment that very beautiful looking erickson 35... It would be my choice for a used boat. affordable, spacious, and seaworthy. Plan on extended living aboard with wife.. Think that boat fits the bill... Is it in the market? LOL... Curently I sail with parents 33 hunter.. Pretty boat.. But not the same as those older ericksons... Or my favorite boat owned was a 1986 pearson 303... Love the 'Big Boat Feel" in a solid small boat. By the way here is one "dumb" question... If I purchase an old used erickson/pearson, etc... Have it upgraded... Can I Change the Color of the Hull??? I know boats can be repainted (lol), just wondering a different color.

Great minds think alike. My previous boat was a Pearosn 28. And yes, you can change the color of the hull by painting it. My boat is painted with Imron although it is the same color as the original gelcoat. Of course, if you do paint the topsides, you have to make sure the gelcoat is thick enough to not show the underlying FG mat. Many boats transfer the mat weave through and you do not notice it on the white gelcoat until you paint it a darker color.

Thanks Tim

Thanks Tim, I kind of knew the answer to my dumb question...lol..... There is a clean Erickson for sail... Just wanted to change the Hull Color. Boat is solid and looks clean on the inside.. Bilge up... The outside needs make over... I love the dark color of Blue and also Red... Any work dodne would be by a professional boat yard.. So, I would hope they'd know about the deck gelcoat... Will make sure I have a great written contract...lol... Thats when It matters... after they have the money and I have the product..lol... Boat shopping is fun... The sticker price shock of new boats kills me... Besides the Erickson, I am also looking at a Nonsuch 30 to 36.. I know CAT rig can be a turn off to some... Still the boats seem to be built very solid and actually hold value.. I really love the wide beam that is mostly carried to the aft of the boat... Think the space inside is better then most boats that size... Plus I love the idea of the big back porch (cockpit).. My wife and I are having fun boat shopping... Plus the idea of getting a solid built older boat and putting a little money into it seems better then buying a new boat. Its all fun....
