Could anyone tell me where I can buy original, or re-designed fittings for securing the spreaders on the Sirocco S15 daysailer? They seem to be cast aluminium and one has broken in two. If they are available, I would prefer not to have cast metal but would prefer machined parts.
Please reply to the post or message me directly for efficiency. donovanjose@yahoo.com. I need two of the fittings yesterday.
Thank you.
Donovan.

Did you ever find one?
I was just thinking of the order of preference is to have a machined one. You could probably find a business not far from you with a CNC machine and I'm sure they could make one for you, for far less than you would imagine. It's not a big operation.
Second would be to get a replacement cast one. But, you see what happens to those. Although I imagine you would get quite a few years of use out of it.
3rd and least desirable would be to replace your split one having been repaired with Marinetex. This actually should get you through a season.

Hi Mark, Please check here again soon for my real reply to yours. I just got back in from two exciting hours on the river with the Sirocco and I'm dead tired. The Fire Dept. towed me in. It saved me getting out on a muddy shore.
Soon.

Hello Mak, Thanks for asking. I phoned the 'Binnacle' chandlery in Halifax N.S. and was referred to 'Rig Rite' on Rhode Island N. Y. They had the part. I ordered two which were cast aluminium, (U.K.) On my mast, both items were still riveted in place, both had been 'repair welded' in the past, and the one that had split in two was still doing the job while held in place by the rivets. One of the new ones was not manufactured quite as square as the other but could still do the job. It should have been rejected in manufacture or by my supplier; no matter it worked. I wasn't expecting the amount of the Brokerage fee; the size of the shipping cost. I learnt that they don't use us mail. Next time I'll be wiser.

Sorry to hear that. But, it's good that you're able to sail.
Consider the total cost and compare that to what a small machine shop would charge for a pair of them. We have a shop here that is a small order specialist type business and although it may be a little more (or not) you'd be able to have them machined from any alloy you could get. But, you'd have to search up a business within a reasonable distance or you'd have the shipping issue again.

Hi Mak, just came in and saw your reply. You've reminded me that I forgot to mention the 'machine shop' angle. I will check around locally for the CNC possibilities for the future; and thanks for that suggestion.
