Need to replace the mixer tap in the galley. Is there any difference between those chrome-plated brass faucets in the hardware store and those in the chandlery? The hardware has a better range and a slightly better price.

Nope, Home Depot will work just fine. Had a friend who bought one of ours, and the first thing he did was to replace the galley faucet.

Delta and Moen make lower end and upper end models in all different price ranges. I personally like the galley faucets that have a higher spout but the world is yours when it comes to these faucets.

Work great

I replaced galley & head with American Standard, nothing special, from a home center store and they work great. Much better than the "marine" ones I had put in a few years before. Higher quality for less $$.
Single lever cuts down on wasted water getting right temperature. On/off with one motion. Also put on super low flow aerators

Replaced ours last fall with a Moen unit from HD or Lowes. Went to the boat show a couple of months later and the exact same faucet was on a few of the new boats at the show.

A bar sink faucet fit my sink perfectly. I wanted he tall curved neck. And don't forget the RV supply houses.
