Today when I was sailing I went to to rig the reefing lines only to find they weren't aboard. We did happen to have long piece of light polyester line. I wondered if there was a way to rig a single reef line instead of the 2 line system provided. Any suggestions on how to install/make a single line reefing system. (note 1:I have a standered 2003 216 sail. The booms only modifications are... 1.The removal of the topping lift. 2. The addition of a boomkikker.(Boomkikker is the name of a product that is composed of 2 fiberglass battens and aluminum fittings for the boom and mast.(Its purpose is to support the boom.) (note 2:I have equipment to drill and tap holes in the boom.) Luke

I believe that this topic has been discussed quite a bit in this forum and there should be quite a bit of information in the archives. Harken sells a single line reefing system: http://www.harken.com/pdf/4171.pdf I didn't buy the Harken setup, but I used this information and other information posted on this forum to add single line reefing to my H26. Works like a charm.,
