Posted a question on the sail trim forum hopeing to generate some interest so thought I would throw some more lines out here. Anyone fitted single line reefing to their 260 and how did you do it?.

Not to worry, Mark

Some folks read all the forums so see your question twice. Others don't. No big deal either way. hopefully, someone will answer your question next... :)

harken's system looks good

I've been considering the harken sytem for our H260. WM sells it for $200. Hopefully someone here may have already installed one and can give some feedback.

2 line reefing

Mark, On my H26 I was contemplating a single line reef system but was warned that the single long line has a problem with friction. So, I have 2 line stoppers (clutches) and turning blocks at the mast base. I ran the forward line up through the reef point of the sail then down to the boom. The luff line runs up to the boom, then feeds through the internal sheave that the original reef line used. To reef, I drop the main halyard a couple of feet, tighten both reef lines, then retension the halyard. This set up really is easy to install and tension the main as needed once reefed. Jim
