Does it have tires on it now? You'll need to know what size rim you have first them price "trailer" tires with a weight rating to carry bait and trailer weight. My Hunter 23 trailer has 6ply tires.

Tires were down to the rims my son put (he went and picked it up for me) 2 tires off an S10 pickup both have 14 inch rims. But will not hold the boat 3200 lbs. just the boat. I don't think i would need anything bigger than 6 ply. But I don't want to blow one and roll the boat over.

single axle tires

I have a 85 hunter 23 - I just replaced the tires last year - I replaced the regular radial car tires that someone had put on years ago with 6 ply trailer tires. If you are going on the highway at all don't cheap out on tires - if your just sitting in a marina daysailing off the trailer or something you can probably get away with radials but the sidewalls are thinner then regular bias ply trailer tires and you will have more sway when you tow. 6 ply trailer tires are very solid going down the road. One more thing to know: trailer tires run at 60-80 lbs of pressure, not 35 like a car tire. I run my tires with 80 lbs PSI. This also makes a huge difference.
