Simrad WP10 Autopilot

Can anyone give me their input on a Simrad WP10 wheel steering autopilot? I have a Hunter 260 and only sail on small inland lakes. This system seems to have reasonable specs at a pretty good price. Thanks

excellent purchase for your boat.

Ken: I would think that this is the perfect autopilot for your boat. Easy to install and should work well.

Agree with Steve.

Very little difference between the WP10 and my WP30. The WP30 is steering an 18000# H37C on rough Lake Erie. And it installs the same, very simply.

simrad wx30

I installed a wx30 on my O'Day 28 and have been using it here in the Keys. I have hooked the auto pilot into it and it works great. I had one problem; however, the attachement point to the wheel is made with two bolts. One of these bolts came loose and I had to repair it. Other than that I have had no problem with it in about 500 miles of sailing in winds from light
