If the steering wheel is smaller than 30 inches the Simrad Wheelpilot 10 will not work unless one is willing to relocate (jury-rig) the control head. As it is there is not enough space between the control pad and the wheel to grip and turn the wheel. Skinned knuckles are the result. Simrad acknowledges the problem. My 82 Hunter 27 has a 22" wheel. A 30" wheel is big for the cockpit and expensive. Any recommendations for an autopilot for my boat? Thanks, Gunter Meyer
