I admit I haven't been paying attention, but could it be so that Simrad has discontinued all of their wheel pilots? So it would seem from their web site. Does this leave only Raymarine in that market segment?

Too bad in my opinion. My WP30 has been flawless for ten years in all conditions. It is actually a Navico which was purchased by Simrad but the identical unit. I was able to find a spare belt on E-Bay that still sits in a locker. There are several below deck units but I think Ray is the only wheelpilot.

yes and no

yes, they stopped

no RM is NOT the only wheel pilot left, they simply are the only wheel pilot company left that makes toy plastic parts on the wheel assemblies for outrageous prices. Try http://www.cptautopilot.com/ for another wheel pilot.

Stu, that's interesting, albeit a bit archaic. Do you have one?
