It's even a good thing for those of us who's boats can float in 18" of water!
I wonder where all the water is coming from. 14" seems allot just over fall and winter.

With over 90% ice coverage over the Great Lakes this winter, there was less evaporation. Combined with increased precip (snow and rain) there has been more entering. Projections for Lake Erie are pretty much at historical averages of a little over 2' above chart datum.
Excellent news as far as I'm concerned as we are relocating to lake Ontario as soon as the canal opens. Having a deep keel boat always has you on your toes concerning water depths.
