I was just finishing up getting Kinship ready for the winter, when I noticed that the compass card is sitting cockeyed, and the bubble at the top of the globe seems bigger than when I hauled the boat a couple weeks ago. I suspect that it took a bump on the trailer ride home. The compass is a Silva 1000 that I installed back in the early '90s.
I tried Googling "Silva Compass", but found only backpackers compasses on the Silva web site.
My question, do you think that this compass can be repaired, and if so, is it worth getting it repaired? Would it be less expensive to just replace it?
Thanks in advance.
