Would anyone know of a source for the tiny silicone beads that can be purchased for use in painting a boat deck, instead of sand? I probably don't know the correct name because I've been searching for them like crazy and can't find a trace... many thanks Bob Pullen S/V Seanorita

Bob- Interlux makes a product that they call Polymeric Noskid Material, there part #2398, West Marine # 389017. Pettit makes a product too, #9900, West Marine #320200. Hope this helps. Rob Hessenius

Home Depot

You can get the beads you are referring to at Home Depot, probably Lowes too. I have used these, although not on a boat deck. They make a pretty good non skid, and are easy to use. Just mix them into the paint.
