I'm reading about Silent Running SR1000 water based coating. Wondering about painting the fiberglass pan under my engine in my Hunter 376. According to its info it reduces noise and vibration by converting it into low grade heat. Do you think it could help reduce engine noise? Enough to matter or notice?

I would think the foam heat insulation stuff would help with noise reduction much better.

Very doubtful when they won't post a price anywhere on their site. The price will probably floor you.

I'd stick with the known sound insulating materials which are always a foam of some description, often layered with films of other material. Pricey, but they do work.

There is also sound deadening materials used in the aftermarket auto industry that is easy to use, works well and is less expensive.
