Signetmarine Sl80

Hi All

Looking for troubleshooting information for SIGNETMARINE SL80 depth sensor(worked fine October 2010). Electronics package / display is working BUT depth always reads "0.0". An electronic schematic with expected signal output at connector pins would be helpfull. Is there a multimeter check of the transducer pin connections to check for wire opens or other fatal conditions. Are USED parts available for this system?

i found some info by googleing..... signet..... on line there was some tech info ....hope this helps...

Signet is still in business and have troubleshooting guides on their website. Call Aaron at Signet if you get stuck as he can sometimes get you going without sending in the unit for repair.

When I bought my boat, the windspeed indicator was physically cut from the masthead and power cables. Signet checked out the indicator and requested we send in the masthead unit for inspection because the indicator was fried by a lightning strike and needed replacing. The masthead unit came back to us repaired with a new indicator for less than the price of replacing the system with anything else.
