I'm posting this here instead of the Destinations forum on the assumption that only trailer sailors would be cruising on Shushwap Lake.
I'm in the BC lower mainland and most often sail on Harrison Lake. Shushwap looks like a beautiful lake a reasonable towing distance from my home, but I haven't been able to find much about sailing conditions there. I'm interested in feedback from anyone who has sailed a 20+ ft sailboat there.
I assume that, like Harrison Lake, the wind most often blows along the arms one way or the other. On Harrison, we're almost always either on a downwind run or tacking upwind. Is that also the case on Shushwap? It's mostly narrower than Harrison, and I'm guess that can get a bit tedious.
