We're getting cruising sail quotes for a 110 genoa on our 92 Hunter 27. Rolly Tasker in Thailand and Shurr Sails in Pensacola have the most attractive offers. Shurr is about 25% more than Rolly. Which sailmaker would you guys trust? Thanks

How much of a wait...

is there this time of year? Seems like it would have been a good winter project. I have heard of Shurr... not of Tasker. Don't have experience with either. Sorry

Rolly T's are great

I was just reading a blog about RT's. Seems there is no set price on them, so get quotes from every RT dealer out there. My neighbor bought a jib from RT and it is as good as my Pryde.

Rolly Tasker Sails

Heath, I purchased a new cruising main for my 99 Hunter 310- from Sail Warehouse 2-1/2 years ago built by Rolly Tasker. My measurements and my specifications. Because the leech measurement seemed too short (boom must be above arch) Sail Warehouse was efficient enough to question rather than just build to my specs. The end result has been very satisfying and fit perfectly. I would not hesitate to buy Rolly Tasker sails or to do business with the sail warehouse. See link.

Hi I purchased a RT asymetrical a few years ago, through a dealer in Toronto. The service was quick and efficient. The sail is well made with US material. I saw my sail on the loft floor beilng made prior to getting it. Its a red white and blue sail on one of the website photos. I would go there again for another sail. Tony

Shurr Sails

Heath I have worked with Hunter Riddle at Shurr sails in Pensacola and have been very pleased with his work and service. He built a new main and 155 for my P31. He also made a sail cover. Hunter makes excellent sails and is very hands on and service orienated. I know many other satisfied customers that he has built sails for. I would not hesitate to recommend him even if his cost is a little higher. Bob

Rolly

Just flew my brand new Rolly Tasker 135% for the first time today. I love it! Got it through National Sail in Florida.

I've purchased...

I bought a number of RT sails through Dirk at National Sail Supply in FL. The price and quality are unbeatable!

Shurr is Tops!

They gave me really good price for a new jib for my 1994 Hunter 26 (by the way the owner's name is Hunter) , but it's the EXCELLENT service after the sale that impresses me. He's given me honest and excellent advice on my aging mainsail and had done wonders to keep her going. He's also very reasonably priced. I can't say enough good things about Shurr Sails. I highly recomment them. BrianW

Thanks everybody..

for all the advice. Nothing negative about RT like I was expecting, and Shurr is confirmed as a good sailmaker. Darts it is!
