Shurflo Water Pump

I've got a 1997 H430, and am starting to experience a leaking water pump. Does anyone have a recommendation as to replace the unit or try to get a service kit for this pump?

I am also assuming the connections to the plumbing are Whale connectors, is this correct?

We replaced ours with the same model as the original about 2 yrs ago. Our pump had a developed a small crack in the plastic that we almost didn't notice, so we just replaced the whole unit.

You can get a rebuild kit reasonably, but if it's leaking from a cracked case, it won't help. You can get a replacement on this site.

Flojet makes the VSD which has fittings that are similar/same as the Shurflo fittings. Regardless most of them are very easy to replace.

The VSD pumps can be purchased at the RV supply places for a lot less than the marine shops.

You may also want to call Shurflo about sending the unit in for testing. They will normally repair them for the cost of the kit + a few bucks.

The VSD units are very nice. They are extremely quiet & do not need an expansion tank.
