I recently lost a u bolt at the deck holding a lower aft shroud on my oday 35.
looking for a source to replace all of them . It’s obvious they are original and it seems they are not actually true u bolts as they are some what flattened in the curve to accept the toggle. Any one know a source ? Thanks

It can be very frustrating when something like this happens, especially if you are on the water. As for specific u bolts, it might be worth checking with your boat's manufacturer to see if they have any recommendations. They may even provide you with precisely the replacement parts you need. When it comes to finding replacement u bolts, many online fastener suppliers can help. I like to order my fasteners from Scrooz, as they have a quality equipment for fixing or mounting almost anything. Good luck in your search, and happy sailing!

O'Day has been out of business for over 30 years. For anyone else that stumbles upon this in the future, D and R Marine offers replacements for most O'Day parts

Beware of commercial U bolts. They often have the threads end in a stop nut that sits on the deck. This standard design results in a thread that will likely propagate a crack when loaded at an angle and eventually fail. True sailboat designed U Bolts will have the threads all below deck and some other stop above the deck that does not contain any threads. The link below is for a Wichard U Bolt.
