Shrink Wrapping - what was your estimate this year?

One thing I don't miss about my H356 was humping that cover up the ladder (In 2 sections) and spreading it out. I didn't much like erecting the frame either. That was always a 600 mg advil evening.
I would go on about the cover's shortcomings - and it was made by a very reputable company - but I'll have to find the pictures first.

I've had my Fairclough cover seven seasons now. I paid around $2500 which included the first install. I can't say enough about the people and the cover/frame. I do agree with Maine and Shemandr. It is a bear to put up. I am lucky I can store the boat at my shop and I have a fork truck at my disposal. Even with the fork truck it takes me 4 -5 hours to build the frame and layout the cover. It get's heavier every year! I feel I got my moneys worth and it does provide great protection from the elements. We've had a lot of snow here in the northeast the last six years!

How much for a custom cover over in Rock Hall? I got a quote from down in Deltaville for my 37....$5100....wow!

Don't know about Rock Hall but I saw an advertised price of 1,330 for a 30 ft boat, yet for my boat onlly 4 feet more it was 2,600!
At least with shrink wrap I only have to pick up a pen and a check book.

Just my 2 cents

I made my own tarp covering, with plastic electrical 3/4 inch conduit that had 1/4 " line thru it, and bent over a ridge pole and tied off at the rails on either side then I covered it with a heavy duty tarp and tied the lines under the hull. I added new grommets where I needed them. This coverer plan lasted about 4 years or so. I did this because my boat yard would not shrink wrap a sailboat with the mast up, and I didn't want to pay $$$$$ to have it dropped and set every year. After seeing a custom cover on a friends boat and helping install it, I was convinced this was the way to go & $2300.00 and 8 years later I'm a happy camper. I can now go inside my boat and with a ceramic heater in the cabin I can do those small projects over the winter and have the boat ready in the spring. The first pic the mast was dropped to be rewired and the tarp cover. the next pics are the new cover. My 2 cents
