i have a fasco shower sump pump. the only number i can find on the pump are 16148. the numbers on the motor are probably motor numbers. this pump looks a lot like a jabsco pump i rebuilt on an earlier boat. How can i go about finding a rebuild kit for this pump?
thanks

I'm not sure how to find a rebuild kit for a pump you can't identify but even if you did, you'd end up with an old pump with some new parts except the motor at a cost of not much less than just buying a new pump.
Having said that, if you are near a supplier that sells Sierra parts (WM being one), you might be able to cross-reference the part numbers or search the Jabsco part numbers which are usually 5 or more digits (you can't do it on line effectively).

I'd bet real money that what you have is a Jabsco

'Cuz the only two brands on the market are Jabsco and Johnson Pump....and "fasco" worn lettering comes a lot closer to "Jabsco" than it does to "Johnson." Plus, those numbers are kinda similar to some '70s/early '80s Par/Jabsco pump #s.

If the pump is that old, I'm not sure you can still get a rebuild kit for it...but even if you could, it'll cost you most of the price of a new pump.

So my advice: scrap it and replace it.
