Some time ago I requested input about an alternative to the standard shower-drain set-up on the 336. The recent discussion of the 376 drain refreshes my inquisitiveness. There seems to be no room the get under the shower directly. It seems to me that I will need to build a sump (box above the bottom of the bilge) in the rear section of the bilge to catch the shower waste and then set up a dedicated sump, with a float-activated switch in that box. The shower currently just drains through a hose into the rear section of the sump. I can do this. It is really pretty simple. However, I have not determined where to have this additional pump direct the flow. I have trouble thinking I should join to the bilge pump hose. If I put a one-way valve in to prevent simply pumping into the bilge that gives me a device that could fail in a place I do not want any risk. Nor do I want to cut a hole in my boat.Any ideas? Thanks for any advice.RodneyS/V Avanti
