Sabre 34' 34' Chesapeake Bay
I have a short pole that came with my sailboat that is the same 4" thickness as the spinnaker pole and has ends like my spinnaker pole but is only like 4 feet long. Does anyone have any idea what this is used for?

WOW!!!.... Been looking at that thing on my deck for a couple years and just sat there trying to figure out what the hell it is used for. Guy jockey pole!! Makes so much sense and I will definitely be using it!!! ....Thank you so much!!!!

Yes…thank you! I am certainly appreciative of all the responses. I now know what it is and used for. Definitely excited to put it to use. Actually measured it and it’s like 6 foot not 4 like I previously guessed

Reaching strut. Used to improve the shape of the headsail on a reach. Not used much these days.
