Shorter or longer rudder from ruddercraft.com? Hunter 260

Recently I broke the rudder on my Hunter 260, while sailing the rough weather.
I'm looking to buy the new one.
Ruddercraft.com have 2 types of rudders 5" longer and 1.5" wider then original, called "Bluewater", and shorter version - 7" shorter then original.
What's your experience on these variations. Anybody had a chance to use both?

Go with the longer one.

I bought the larger of the two rudders and it is much more effective than the original one. Less rounding-up and better control.
