Shore power cable

I am looking for a source for 30 amp shore power cable only - without plugs. I have the plugs, but need cable. Any help would be appreciated.

How long? Hubbel makes some. Ancor, also. Fawcetts, Defender, Bacoms... the list goes on.

Every year about this time, I see perfectly good cable tossed with fried ends from a near fire averted. Just a snip and you can remove the burnt ends and feast on the now 45ft seasoned cable.

Jeez, hit number one on google - 30A shore power cord by the foot:

FWIW, 30A yellow is $4/foot. So, 50', $200.

On the other hand, you can get a 50' 30A Marinco cord set on sale now at WestMarine for $75. If you're really set on using your own connectors, just snip the supplied ones off the cord.

I've often found it's cheaper to buy an extension cord and cut the ends off than to buy cord by the foot.

On discarded 30 amp shore power chord due to fire or power surge, I suggest that you cut back a foot to check color of wire

If burnt back that far or color is different stay away from the chord

If you go to a supply house to purchase cord be sure to get cord made for outdoor hard service use. Must not have paper fillers and must be sunlight tolerant. I would stick with Marinco standard cord set instead. Save your ends for future use in your basement.
