Just bought a O'day 25 with centerboard. I need to modify (raise) the bunkboards on my trailer that used to haul my Catalina22 swing keel. Can someone tell me the exact measurement of the shoal keel that came with this model so I can raise the trailer bunks the correct height. Thankyou in advance. ken in sacramento

Ken, We have the same O'day 25 (1977) with swing keel centerboard. I need to modify the bunkboards on my trailer too. Centerboard Keel
I have a '76 O'Day 25 with a centerboard (it IS a centerboard, not a true swing keel). O'Day lists the depth of the keel with the centerboard up to be 2.5'.

Keel on the trailer
Ken, Unlike the Cat 22, the keel/ centerboard housing should rest on the bottom frame of the trailer. I have owned 2 O'Day 25's and had to dosome work to each trailer. My suggestion is to let the keel rest on the bottom frame and then adjust the jacks, bucks or what ever your trailer has. The location of the boat fore and aft of the positioning of the boat on the trailer will affect the height of the pads/bunks whatever. A picture of your current trailer would help me give you ideas for fitting your 25 on the trailer. I do have pictures of some mods. that I made and pictures of what to be carefull of. I just don't know where they are and time to find them. r.w.landau
