Is anyone else waiting to hear from these guys? Here is my story. Nov. 6 I placed an on line order. They sent me an email confirming my order and including all the right stuff ie usually ships next day, will be notified of back orders, appreciate your business yadda yadda... They provided an email address and toll free number in case anything should go wrong. Nov 9 my Visa charged for the amount. Nov 21 I emailed them requesting status info on my order. No reply. Nov 27 I emailed them a second time and got no reply. Dec 4 I called their toll free number and got a machine saying all reps were busy and please leave my message and telephone number and they'd get right back to me. Still haven't heard from them. I'm only out about fifty bucks so I won't lose any real sleep over the deal, but, if you need it by Xmas I would use a different supplier than shipstore.

Keep after them!!!

Keep after them - we have had similar problems with them in the past but they have always come thru. Good luck

Sounds a little like....

...the experience I had trying to buy a chart plotter from "Abe's Of Maine" last year. They showed item was available on the web site. Two or three days later, some phone rep calls, tries to sell me a $69 warranty and some $19 "screen protector". They had not shipped at that point. Three weeks later, still no plotter, they've debited my card, etc. Took several tries to get through to customer service. They were no help, finally got someone in "purchasing" turns out that item won't actually be available for another month or two, would I like to wait on it? Unfortunately, I didn't check out their biz-rate listing beforehand. I finally got a refund, etc. Best experience for fully automated on-line shopping so far has been Defender Marine. Great people, they pick and ship the same day or the next if it's late in the afternoon. Can't say enough good about those people and their prices.

Credit card will refund for non-delivery

Write, do not call, your Visa credit card company and dispute the charge when it shows up on your bill. The card company will go after the company. They will then ship or their account will be charged your charge and you will get a credit for the amount. Don't fool with them. Its a fraudulant charge. You don't have to pay it.

credit cards are great!

This is why is best not to pay with Money order or cashier's check. Im still a sceptic on websites or websites claiming they have stores. Thats why I was hoping somebody else have heard of boatstogo.com before even considering them.
