I thought I would reach out and ask if anyone has experiences shipping a mast (53ft) across the country. I am looking to get a mast shipped from Florida to California- If anyone has any leads on whom to contact or companies that do this please let me know.

Thanks
Reggie

I think you will find much resistance from the normal trucking companies such as FedEX and so forth due to the length. I would think you can find room with a boat transport rig making it's way to the west coast. There's many online web sites to use for obtaining schedules and getting quotes.

It should be able to be shipped by truck. Fed Ex no, UPS no, but major truck shipping should be able to handle it. Gonna be spendy though, no matter how it goes.

depending if you're on a strict schedule or not .... I'd contact a number of Marine/Boat Transport companies and find one moving a boat from FL to CA and see if you can share costs with the boat owner ....

Georgieboy. You might want to contact Hunter and see if they are shipping anything to California. They might be willing to add it to a shipment if they do. Their trucks could easily handle your mast!
