Ship Island this weekend

Anyone else going to be out around Ship, Horn, Cat, islands this weekend. Gonna head out tomorrow morning. Will be in that area all weekend. Plan on anchoring up Fri. on the N. side of Ship, close to the Gulfport channel, and watch the Gulfport-Pcola race boats head out. Start time is noon Friday. Anyone in the area, give me a shout. Will be monitoring VHF 16. Blue hulled S37, boat name Candida.

Dangit! Were it not for a drug resistant staph infection that ate part of my calf off, and difficulty finding a carb bowl float for my old motor, I would be there or within hailing distance for sure! Grounded for a few weeks. Ugh.

Phil, I was just out there on Mem. day weekend. On that weekend it the temp was 96 degrees. We stayed on a float in the water most of the day. The water was great, but sleeping at night was kinda tuff. I was going to call you but it was a last minute thing.
