I knew we were supposed to get some rain and wind but I had no idea it was going blow. Worse yet the SE and SSE are worst for my slip. I ran down there at lunch time and doubled the lines. Wish I had more time I would have liked to take the dodger and bimini down and get the dink out. The pic is the view SSE from my slip.

Yea, that looks like trouble, hope you came out alright.
She blew here strongest from 1-4 gusts to the low 30s. Had a nice session on my 90lt board, by 2:30 was over powered on my 5.5 so I packed it in.

Just got back from checking the boats and apparently it was just in time. The one line was ready to snap and the other "cleated" one undid itself. Wind was too strong or me to get the boat to the dock and resecure so I added two of my spare dock lines (and 2 fenders to my starboard side). A little more wind or a few strong gusts and this boat would have slammed right into mine.

Good catch Jack, you guy are really getting hammered. I just checked the Lakes Bay meter, 39 gusting to 55knts right now!!!

Boat's fine ... tree fell down in the yard and damaged my split rail fence. At least it's a fuel source for the stove this winter!

Winds on the upper Chesapeake Bay...

My dock neighbor took these pix of his apparent wind gage during the storm on Tuesday. Pix are blurry, but readable. He said the this was not the strongest period of wind and rain. No damage sustained.

All worked out fine. I would have liked to prep more but we were lucky in that the conditions were never as bad as the forecast.
Yes, Stu. That's a Catalina 34.
It's the venerable Kindered Spirit. I understand from the owner that you may have sailed on it when it was in Ct. or something like that.
