Sherwood g 903 fresh watter pump

After removing the cover, I kept looking at this view of the pump.........


something did not look OK to me.


There no pictures on the cat34 site Stu.


Going to have to check pump rotation direction.

Paul, my pictures look the same. I think the pump rotates anticlockwise in the view of you photo (clockwise from the front of the engine looking aft).

It simply doesn't matter. The vanes will get the right set once the pump starts turning. I wrote mine down (before I removed the old impeller) and keep the note on the boat.

Mine looked the same. It must have something to do with the water loading, to put the veins point in different directions.

When the engine comes to a stop there can be a little kick back. This causes the vanes to back up slightly.
